March is an important month for women everywhere, and here at ALS New Mexico, we want to celebrate all the amazing women who help make ALS New Mexico a success. For Women’s Day on March 8th, we recognized the women who help bring ALS New Mexico to life, and allow us to continue our mission of providing exceptional, accessible solutions and services for our local ALS community. There is no shortage of compassion and dedication to those living with ALS in New Mexico from the women on our team, and we want to highlight that passion.
Meet the Women Who Make ALS New Mexico Possible
United by a commitment to the ALS community in New Mexico, our team at ALS New Mexico is made up of three incredible women with a passion for making a difference; these women are: Katie Crouch, President and CEO of ALS New Mexico, and Michelle McMullan, Director of Care Services. Each of these amazing women has fought to make ALS New Mexico what it is today, and have put hours into advocating for better services, research, and a place for those living with ALS to thrive.
Alongside them, we also want to acknowledge the women on our Board of Directors who make our mission possible: Katie Sandoval of B&D Industries, our first female Vice Chair; Tatiana Duselis, Board Secretary; Diane Berry of Sirona Dental; Julia Ellis of HB Construction; Justina Grant of Holmans USA; Jayne Leighton, Senior Director at Aviat Networks; Tersila Sanchez, Consultant; and Dr. Clover Youn of UNMH Neurology.
Celebrating All Women in Our ALS Community
Not only do we want to acknowledge the women that make up ALS New Mexico, but we also want to shout out all the women who are a part of the ALS community across New Mexico. There are many women living with ALS in the state, and we want to take a moment to recognize them as well; for their resilience, strength, and place at the heart of our community. We strive to make ALS New Mexico a comfortable place for all the women who need our services and support. We recognize and appreciate the women who are in our community and want to continue to advocate and fight for better support and research for a cure for ALS.
